Students ask “Take Me Outside” in NSW in 2019!

Take Me Outside is a program in Canada encouraging teachers to take kids outdoors for learning and activities to connect with nature and spend time outside.  AAEE NSW is proud to be bringing Take Me Outside to NSW in 2019, thanks to a NSW Environmental Trust Grant. Take Me Outside NSW will offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ for teachers and community to link with programs and activities in NSW which supports the Take Me Outside philosophy.

AAEE NSW has developed a set of resources for teachers and community groups to develop Best Practice Sustainability Education and Engagement Project templates, for designing and delivering a Take Me Outside project in you school, or with local schools. We’ll also be linking in closely with the Green Schools Network, Sustainability Schools NSW, Environmental and Zoo Education Centres, and lots more!

A website, social media, templates and more is to come from Take Me Outside NSW!

Keep an eye on our website for more information, and consider when developing lesson plans for 2019, when activities that take students outside might be incorporated throughout your school!
