We are excited to announce our two great recognition programs are now open for applications! Applications for both programs close Friday 26 July. Don’t miss this chance to get some recognition and support for the great work you, or someone you know, are doing.

2019 NSW Environmental Educator of the Year Awards

These awards recognise individuals in NSW who show outstanding abilities to raise the level of environmental awareness in the community and who provide leadership, innovation and inspiration to others and contributing to quality environmental education. Who could you nominate? Self-nominations are also accepted.

Nominations close on Friday 26 July 2019.

There are 3 categories where a winner will be announced:

1. Government Educator of the Year
2. Formal Educator of the Year (early learning, primary. high school and tertiary educators)
3. Community Educator of the Year

One of the category winners will be selected by the judges as the overall NSW Environmental Educator of the Year winner.

Category winners and the overall winner will be announced at the 2019 NSW Environmental Education Conference Dinner on Friday 4 October 2019.

2019 Gould League Scholarship

The 2019 scholarship will provide a teacher, tertiary student or environmental educator with financial assistance (up to $1000) to attend the 2019 AAEE NSW Environmental Education Conference in Kirrawee (3-5 October), or an equivalent professional learning activity.

Current AAEE members who are teachers in NSW primary or secondary schools, environmental educators who work with teachers or students, or tertiary students studying Environmental and Sustainability subjects are welcome to apply.
