AAEE NSW 2021 AGM

Thursday, 25 November 2021 - 6:00pm

Dear AAEE NSW members,

AAEE NSW is a proud and active chapter of the National AAEE body. As a separate, incorporated organisation however, the NSW Chapter holds its own AGM each year to elect NSW Executive Committee members, reflect on the year that was and drive the work of the NSW Chapter forward.

We would love for you to join us for our 2021 AGM, and consider joining our Executive Committee in 2021/22.

Notice of AAEE NSW AGM, invitation to all chapter members

Come and join our Executive Committee!

AAEE NSW has had another huge year. Among other highlights, we've developed our Climate Crisis Resource Hub, adopted a Net Zero Emissions Plan and a Climate Emergency Response Plan. We have launched an online Sustainability Directory www.sustainabilityconnect.org.au for our community of sustainability educators to link up with service providers. We have continued to grow and develop our Sustainable Schools NSW program, our Green Leaders program, worked with the NSW Environment Trust, and developed a curriculum plan for Return and Earn NSW. We have improved governance processes, provided great recognition programs and so much more. Much of this work was thanks to our terrific project teams, and volunteer Executive Committee.

Volunteering on the AAEE NSW Executive Committee is a great opportunity to contribute to the health and vibrancy of our NSW chapter, gain an insight into the workings of your professional association and help us deliver projects and programs to achieve our 2018-2021 Strategic Plan.

Executive meetings are web-based (using Zoom web conferencing) and regionally-based members are encouraged to nominate. Currently, Executive Committee meetings occur every 8 weeks and are 2 hours in duration. You can read more about being part of the Committee in our Executive Committee Guidelines.

We hope to see you at the AGM and we hope you'll consider joining our Executive Committee in 2021/22 too.
