Local networks for schools are usually coordinated by local government (Councils) or Department of Education Environmental Education Centres (EECs). Member schools often rotate responsibility for hosting a meeting, and guest speakers are invited to present on a particular issue or theme.
Green schools are also encouraged to be part of the Sustainable Schools NSW program, which is managed by AAEE NSW. Sustainable Schools NSW aims to connect school-based environmental educators with relevant resources, interactive lessons and a like-minded community to help spread the important message of sustainability to future generations.
