Right from the start! A guide to planning best practice Sustainability Education and Engagement projects
This is a resource for environmental educators from all sectors, including community, non-profit organisations, state and local government, formal education, business and industry.
It has been created as part of the AAEE NSW ‘Equipping Regional Sustainability Education Networks for Creating Change’ Project 2016-2018, with support from the NSW Government's Environmental Trust.

Strategic Plan Template for Regional Sustainability Education Networks
This template was developed to assist Regional Sustainability Education Networks to create their own individual Strategic Plans. It may also be helpful for other environmental education networks, such as school/teacher environmental networks.
It has been created as part of the AAEE NSW ‘Equipping Regional Sustainability Education Networks for Creating Change’ Project 2016-2018, with support from the NSW Government's Environmental Trust.

Green Ed Drinks Guide

This guide was developed to assist environmental education practitioners throughout NSW to host Green Ed Drinks events within their professional networks. It was developed based on the learnings from the first AAEE NSW Green Ed Drinks held on 3 November 2016 at the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability in Waverton, Sydney. The guide is intended to be flexible to allow for variations to suit each region.

Conversations  e-magazine
Conversations is the biannual e-magazine of AAEE NSW.  All issues are available in full for our members (access all past issues online using your member login)  and are distributed by email twice a year (Feb and August) to NSW members. 

We encourage submissions from environmental educators, teachers, and teacher educators that address environmental education broadly, as well as the teaching and learning of it in schools, tertiary institutions and/or community contexts. Articles for consideration should be sent in electronic format to the Editor, at 

AAEE NSW Membership survey
Our membership survey was conducted at the end of 2015 to better understand the needs and expectations of NSW-based environmental educators. It includes a series of recommendations for improvement.

'Write It Up' Guide - sharing our experiences
Write it Up! is a resource developed by AAEE to encourage sustainability education practitioners to share their experiences through writing. As part of Write it Up! a series of case studies were produced by NSW educators to showcase their sustainability education projects. You are welcome to use the Write it Up! materials - including the course materials and case studies  - providing you acknowledge AAEE NSW and the developers  of the program *

Breakthrough Guides
The National Centre for Climate Restoration (Breakthrough) is an independent, Australian think tank that develops critical thought leadership to influence the climate debate and policy making. They have developed a free series of short guides on how to mobilise for the climate emergency, how to communicate a climate emergency, understanding climate emergency and local government and more. Behaviour Change and Sustainability
Waverley Council in NSW have compiled an E-booklet on behaviour change approaches for environmental community groups. Creating behaviour change can be hard and there is no ‘one solution fits all’ approach. Their E-booklet might be handy when designing programs with a behaviour change component.

Book of Facilitator Tricks
A seasoned bunch of environmental educators were asked by Les Robinson for their best facilitation tricks during a webinar he facilitated with the AAEE NSW Leaders for Sustainability. The resulting resource was assembled into a little booklet of ice-breakers, inspirations, and other fun tricks.

This exciting Multi-Touch book developed by the Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre in NSW explores the beautiful natural environment of the Australian eucalypt forest.
